Virtual Teaching

Virtual teaching has evolved into an important aspect of the TAAAC-EM partnership, particularly as teaching trips remain on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions. We are continuously developing our virtual teaching program, recognizing that it likely will remain an integral facet of our partnership as it offers the ability to expand support during the months in which a teaching team is not physically in Addis Ababa.

The TAAAC-EM Learning Portal is for those faculty and residents at TASH/AAU and TAAAC-EM/UofT participating in virtual postgraduate teaching sessions and journal clubs. This section includes information for past and upcoming virtual teaching sessions including learning objectives, assigned readings, Zoom links and post-session recordings.

Teaching Modules

The Teaching Modules Project is a compendium of open-access, evidence-based, peer-reviewed EM modules designed for teachers and learners in low-resource health settings. Modules are developed and reviewed by faculty with expertise in EM education and global health and are published here as low-bandwidth Power Point presentations.
