More than 100 Toronto emergency room professionals urge province to reverse public health cuts

Congratulations to GHEM Health Equity Co-Chair Dr. Kate Hayman, for working with colleagues to write an open letter urging the province to reverse public health cuts. They gathered over 100 signatures of emergency room professionals in Toronto in an incredibly short amount of time. The impetus for the letter was Dr. Raghu Venugopal’s presentation to the Board of Health Committee meeting on Tuesday September 3rd, 2019. GHEM is incredibly proud to see so many of its members and friends included in this signature list. We are also encouraged to see the large amount of media attention this letter has received from the Toronto Star to BlogTO.
